Kite flying day!

A misty evening sky over Jaipur got beautifully decorated with kites on the occasion of Makar Sankranti, a harvest festival popularly known as kite flying day and celebrated on January 14 every year. Flying kites

Children flying kites at dusk, from a rooftop near Chandpole Bazaar. I loved the criss-cross pattern that overhead wires were creating at this place, together with the silhouettes. (December 21, 2006)
